6 months ago life as we knew it was forever changed when out of nowhere we were hit with the words you have stage 4 Lung cancer. We were told that with treatment responding in the best way possible we were looking at a 5 year life expectancy at the most. I thought those were the hardest words I would ever hear... until Friday... the Doctors stood before us and said we are stopping treatment... their is nothing more we can do... hospice will make you comfortable and you have 3 weeks to 3 months at the most... from the day of Matts diagnosis 6 months ago we knew that his healing was in the Lords hands... but those words... what those words do to you I can not even begin to describe... I looked back at those doctors and simply told them that might be what they said but that is not what my God said... I refused their hospice and told them to transfer Matt to MD Anderson immediately... the oncologist says to me I don't believe they will accept him... he's to far gone... it's futile at this point... again I looked at her and told her if God wants him at MD Anderson he would make a way... I am asking each and every one of you who have been on this entire journey with us and those of you who are reading our story for the first time... please pray for us, stand united with us in prayer and petition to our mighty God for a miracle of healing in my husband. Please share this post with everyone you know and stand in the gap with us as we continue to fight this horrible relentless disease. Prayer is powerful! We love you all and thank you for all of your love and support for our family.
